Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2026. The short version: we collect almost nothing. The long version is below.

Summary

CheerOakNest does not require an account, does not collect personal information, does not use third-party tracking, and does not set advertising cookies. Your in-game balance, history, and settings are stored in your own browser. We have no access to them. You can erase them at any time by clearing your browser data.

1. Information we do NOT collect

  • Name, email, phone number, address, or any contact details.
  • Government identification or age-verification documents.
  • Payment information, credit card numbers, or banking details.
  • Real-money account credentials (we have no real-money accounts).
  • Behavioural data, browsing history, or cross-site tracking profiles.

2. Information stored on your device

The Site uses your browser's localStorage to remember gameplay state locally on your device. This includes:

  • Age-gate confirmation — a single boolean flag indicating you confirmed you are 18+. We do not store your age or birthdate.
  • Gold Coin balance — your current virtual coin count.
  • Daily bonus timer — when you last claimed your daily bonus.
  • Spin history — the last 50 spins (bet, lines, win, time). Visible only to you on the Game page.
  • Take-a-Break setting — if you've activated a break and when it ends.

This data never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party. It is removed automatically if you clear your browser's site data, switch browsers, or use private/incognito mode.

3. Information automatically received

Like virtually every website on the internet, basic technical information is received by the servers that deliver the Site to your browser. This is operationally necessary and includes:

  • Your IP address (used to route the request and may be retained briefly in standard server logs).
  • Browser type and version, operating system, screen size.
  • The page you requested and the timestamp of the request.
  • Referring URL, if any.

This information is used to deliver the Site, diagnose technical issues, and prevent abuse. It is not used to build a profile of you, not sold, and not shared with advertisers.

4. Cookies

The Site itself does not set cookies. We use localStorage (a different browser-storage mechanism) for the items listed in section 2. Third-party fonts (Google Fonts) may set their own cookies if loaded directly; we use the stylesheet link method, which is generally cookie-free, but we cannot guarantee the absence of any third-party cookies on your system.

5. Third-party services

The only third-party service we use is Google Fonts, which serves the typeface (Playfair Display, Lato) used throughout the Site. Google's standard privacy policy applies to any data Google collects through that service. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, ad networks, or any other tracking or advertising service.

6. Children

The Site is intended for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. The age-gate modal is the only mechanism for confirming age; we do not verify identity. If you believe a minor has accessed the Site, please contact us.

7. Your rights under Canadian privacy law

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information an organisation holds about you.
  • Request access to and correction of that information.
  • Withdraw consent and request deletion.

Because we do not collect personal information, these requests are typically satisfied automatically: there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our end. 8. International visitors

The Site is offered primarily to Canadian residents. If you access the Site from outside Canada, you acknowledge that your IP address and request metadata will transit through the infrastructure that delivers the Site, which may be located in Canada or other countries. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. If we make a material change, we will display a notice on the Site for at least 30 days.
